Uh oh–me on Washington Journal WAY BACK in 1995

This is ancient history, my first television interview (I think), on the Saturday Washington Journal.  I came across it recently while researching other stuff.

This interview aired live at 5 in the morning, but being Washington, someone was up. The deputy director of government relations at Vietnam Veterans of America called me later that day. Within a month, we’d negotiated a $36,000+ grant from VVA to help Gulf War veterans.

VVA’s founding principle: “Never again will one generation of veterans abandon another.” With the Gulf War, they lived up to that.

I don’t look this young any more.
